Sun Country Farms          Bird Feeder Chart

Different bird species have different eating habits.  With Sun Country Farms Bird Seed you can tailor your feeding station to attract your particular favorites with feeder design and the food you offer.

Keep in mind during the winter, feed such as black oil sunflower and mixed nuts have a higher fat content to better satisfy a bird’s needs.  Suet cakes are also a great selection and are available in a variety of flavors.  Peanut suet cakes, for instance, will attract woodpeckers and nuthatches.  If you are having a problem with squirrels, hot pepper suet can be offered to deter squirrels yet still attract a great variety of birds.

All birds need a source of water, especially in the winter months when watering holes may be frozen.  Use a birdbath, yet set up a submersible heater to keep the water from freezing.  Most models are thermostatically controlled to only go on when the temperature drops below freezing.
